New Zealand Study Tour 2026

Studying overseas is a wonderful experience for students. In June 2026, twelve of our P.5 and P.6 students went to Rotorua and Tauranga, New Zealand for 12 days. During this period of time, they gained valuable experience by living with English-speaking host families. The host families took good care of our students, and they enjoyed hiking, visiting the beach, and having barbecues at the weekend.

Omokoroa Point School (OPS) was the host school of this study tour. It is a vibrant school with good ethos. Staff and students were very welcoming to our students and eager to share their culture and school life with us. Each of our students was assigned to a school buddy. During school days, they studied and played together. This buddy system provided a lot of opportunities for our students to practise English with native English speakers. Our students were happy to share with them the Chinese and Hong Kong culture too!

Apart from studying, our students also learned about the culture and people of New Zealand by visiting various famous places like Agrodome Farm, Te Puia Geothermal Park and Maori Arts and Crafts Centre, McLarens Falls Park and Hobbiton. There is no doubt that it was a fruitful and memorable trip for everyone!
